Repeatedly saw a monitor lizard, well at least, I so have named it, freely floats in the brook. It has amazed us, we have at first solved, that it is the crocodile, but, having looked narrowly, the difference became visible.

There are lots of dogs here, but the majority are in collars and all are very good-natured.

Of course, we saw crocodiles and elephants, you can read about it here – Samphran Elephant Ground and Zoo but they are not seen in real life.

We were really lucky to find a house! I had some doubts till today, but we had already got ADSL and doubts fell away.

I’ll tell you about it.
When we in Phuket two years ago, we found the house with a help of Phuket Gazette. We didn’t find a similar newspaper in Samui, unfortunately. We called several real estate managers of Russian origin and asked to find a house for us. Also we googled and sent e-mails to several house owners. But also we decided not to sit and wait, so after waking up and having breakfast, we went for searching.

It was the first vacant house, earlier the houses were occupied or did not match our requirements. It was a small nice house, surrounded by coconut palm trees. There were several houses nearby, including the house, where the owner lived. The place was good- calm and quiet. We wanted to look for other houses, but the owner wanted 10 000 Baht ($330), it was a good price.

We were almost gone, when I propose to haggle over the price. It was a classic leaving, it seemed that we were not so much interested in it, but then we returned and proposed 7000 Bht, the owner offered 9000, we said 8000 and that was the end.
So, we have rented the house for 8000 Bht($270) + electricity + internet. In general it will be about 10000 Ире per month.

There was just one question- internet access. It was not in the house. But the owner promised that it would be done the next day. I believed and gave her money for 2 months. Traditional Thai “tomorrow” lasted for 5 days. But in the end the Internet was provided!

Besides, last time being on Phuket I repeated it.
But I forgot, and how wrong I was.

When it became clear, that Krabi did not suit to us, we thought, that Phuket had not changed, that had remained same as in our memory. Unfortunately it did not happen.
Phuket has changed, and not in the best side.
As it is not strange, I even know who is guilty:) It is our favourite Uncle Sam with desire to establish world domination democracy in the world.

Yes, you have not misheard, it was an incitement to the happened variations.

Everything is simple- nobody comes to Egypt any more and all tourists from the former USSR were sent to Thailand.

It’s a real horror! We got to Crimea, Yalta in peak season! 90% of people around are Russians, it’s so dirty everywhere, drunk Russians…
When I came to the food market, the foodmongers offered me a sheet of paper, where all the names of fruit were written in Russin, though 2 years ago the couldn’t even speak English…

We were really upset, but still we tried to find something at other beaches, less expensive.
There were many offers, but the PRICE!!!
That what we were searching for starts from $1000 per month, additional payments for water, electricity, internet…
So, after having some Regency with Cole, we’ve decided to move to another place as soon as possible:)
We chose Samui Island. We have never been there, they say there are not so much people, the sea is good and the place is nice and quiet.

I hope, we’ll stay there till March, I’m sick and tired of these trips.)

There are not many pictures from Phuket. I was so angry, that I did’t want to take pictures.

Today, we spent the day, bathing in the sun, swimming in the pool, went for Thai massage to our Nang. She is still working in the same salon, and even she recognized us.

The sea was clean, it cannot be compared to Ao Nang sea, but the sand is very dirty, full of litter.

We were upset that everything changed, so we wanted to remenber Phuket as it was in 2009.

Hi. It’s our last day in Krabi, tomorrow we are moving to Phuket. How can it be, you ask?:) It is, I’ll tell you now.)))

I have set an alarm clock on extreme early time, 7 am, the habit to wake up early has dissapeared with change of time zone.

The point is that the bus had to pick us up at 8-30 am, but befire we had to have a breakfast, take a shower, press F5. Our hotel was the last in the list, so the songteo was full. The faces of other members of our group were shining with pleasure.

Our guide, ridiculously bending fingers, has counted all of us, and we have gone to travel on four islands.

This boat was much bigger than what we already went to Railay in. In general, I liked this type of transport.

On the way us overtook speedboats, tremendous speed and beautiful forms, I am afraid even to think, how much such boat is.

By the way, the price of our trip was 100 Bht ($30) for 3. The trip at speedboat costs 900Bht per 1.

The first island is called Chicken, we landed on the spit and all have run up in different sides. Except for our boat here there were much others wishing to join to fine.

Then tired and glad we went home.

In general, we met many nice people during the trio, Alex was a star- he smiled to everybody and everybody smiled to him.)

Heavy rain, the way is seen only up to 2 meters.

Except for that temperature in number of 29 degrees, the conditioner has broken, then it was repaired, but it became working worse.

In general, we didn’t like the hotel. The room was great, but the service was really bad. Sometimes they forgot to make up the room. And by the way, the swimming pool was closed for reconstruction.

But now we don’t care, tomorrow we are moving to Phuket!)))

At the request of our friends I’ll tell about the prices and our way of life.

Accomodation costs adequate money- it starts from 6000 Bht ($200) per month. It’s not a sort of shake, it’s a good room with air-con in nice hotel.

I did not make the pictures of houses in Krabi. We have one camera for the family and it’s not good for Lena to carry extra weight in the heat, but I promise to improve ))

Unfortunately, nothing natched our demands, I wrote details on minimum requirements in my previous post – Searching for house in Krabi.

The point is that there are no kitchens in the houses, the closest food market is too far and it’s a bad adventure to get to it. I was impressed by the heat and stuffiness in Krabi town.

All that time we ate at the restaurants, bought some food at the street stall, but it’s, first of all, not cheap, the avarage bill was 500 Bht ($15). We had breakfast included in the room price at the hotel, but still we spent 1000 Bht ($30) to buy food per day. And also we liked to have some beer in the evening… And at the second, Alex needs normal food, and all the time we had a problem, what to feed the kid with. It irritates much.

In general, we always remembered how easier it was at Phuket- food market, supermarkets.
So personally for me Ao Nang leaves the impression of an interesting and beautiful place, but with a touch of hillbilly)))

Also, I frankly do not like the beach at Ao Nang. At first I kindled the hope that the sea would calm and the water near the shore would be transparent, but no, it did not happen, unfortunately.

So the decision was made: to leave for Phuket after the hotel room check out date:)
I booked the hotel for 3 nights near the house, where we lived being in Thailand last time. We saw lots of house rent offers, there is a good selection.

We finally realized that we were going to move, we decided to see thу nearest places of interest of Ao Nang.
We had full 2 days and we wanted to go to Railay beach and take a tour to Four Islands.

The weather was great, there wer no clouds in the sky, light breeze from the see brought cool, the mood which fallldown after the failures in house searching, jumped to 100%

Yesterday, we did not succumb to the entreaties of fellow Oleg to begin the process of complete rest, to go to Railay together till the evening.

It was taken the courageous decision to look for housing.

Prior to that, we walked along nearby streets and isolated places which suited our demands.

And today, Lena went directly to search the house, and I with Alex decided to look nearby beach Noppharat Thara Beach.

On our beach it can be seen by naked eye. I thought that it was not far away and my son and I went there)))

Alex really bravely went the distance (about an hour walking).

But I think that the fact that along the way we came across many interesting things played agreat role.

As a result, tomorrow my beloved wife will go to this beach area to search for a house, ’cause today she has not found anything nice to rent.

We’ve decided that we need minimum 1 bedroom, kitchen, swimming pool (possibly shared), good Internet and about 15 min walk to the beach.

The good price is limited to 15000 Bht ($500).

Unfortunately, today among the houses inspected by Lena, none did meet these parameters.

Prices start from 5,000 baht and up to infinity, an average of 7000-8000 but always something was missing)))

In addition Helen was upset, when she saw a snake on a tree. She decided to go through the jungle to the distant houses rising above))))

So tomorrow we’ll be searching again, but there is still time, we’ll find something for sure:)

I’ll talk about the preparation, when the minimum necessary amount of money was at hand, I decided to destroy the line of retreat, and immediately bought tickets, but just one way.

Only then it became clear that we are still going and it is time to turn the training area of ​​the conversations in the area of ​​actions.
Then we’ve got visa to Thailand for six months. For visa we went to Kiev to the Consulate of Thailand. The package of documents for visa application is small, they make visa within 2 days. We asked two entry visas, for which it was necessary to show a ticket to a country that we need to leave Thailand after 2 months of arrival or hotel booking in the country.

We have booked the hotel for one night in Malaysia right on the spot via the Internet. The cost of the visa that allows two entries in Thailand is $70 per person.

Then we prepared other documents, persuaded my wife’s parents (my parents normally perceived it), to deal with the garden, banks and utilities.

Then there was the grueling flight with a connection. In Abu Dhabi, our plane of the UIA airline was late for an hour, we ran through the airport for a flight Etihad to Bangkok (did not even have a smoke)
But the mood is 100% and a silly smile does not leave our faces:)

Bangkok is the city of a million smells. Very loud, a huge metropolis, but with an Asian flair, where people have not forgotten the smiles. They remember that a woman with a child must be given a place in the subway, and it’s not good to litter the streets, and it’s better to smoke near specially designed ashtrays filled with sand.

The next item of our program was a flight to Krabi, where we safely and quickly got on the plane of Thai Airways and get to Krabi in an hour.
Took taxi for 600 Bth (20$) and arrived to hotel.

Krabi met us with rain. No, it was raoning cats and dogs. And I was at a loss. How can it be? Why is it raining, but it’s warm outdoors?))) It was rather unusual feeling.
That evening was devoted to Singha beer and canned tuna, 49 Bht ($1,3) per canes.
